Competition heating up: Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Flex – Rich Internet Applications

by AJ on April 28, 2007

The competition is heating up on Rich Internet Application (RIA) space between Microsoft and Adobe with both recently launching tools Microsoft Silverlight and Adobe Flex 2.

Silverlight is a direct competitor to Adobe Flash (previously popular as Macromedia Flash).

While Flex can be tightly integrated to the new Adobe Creative Suite 3, Silverlight is also tightly integrated to Microsoft Expression. This is going to an interesting battle for supremacy on who takes on RIA to the developer community and the masses.

Who do you think will be crowned as king?
