l8r and GCal
by AJ on June 28, 2007
L8r.nu recently launched a “send you email later” web app. Offering these features (from their site):
* prepare up to five year’s worth of happy birthday emails
* remind your friends one day before the Bloomingdale sale
* remind yourself to buy flowers on your wedding anniversary
* impress your boss by “sending” email at 11PM (and showing up at 8AM next day!)
The free version offers plain text emails, max 3 messages, etc. They have a pro version with more features.
However, having seen and said all that – why would I even use this if I can do the same functionality with Google Calendar? GCal offers reminders via SMS, emails and even pops up a message when you are logged in at GCal.

And if you are telling me that “Heh, you can’t send an email to your boss to impress!” – that’s just being dishonest and lame.
