Dear IMDB/Economist: Please don’t present ads like this on the iPad

I just want some quick information and you present me this? How do you close the fugly ad? Tapping on the darkened spots doesn’t work. Go back and reloading the page just presents the ad all over again.
Please don’t do this. It’s a no-no to the user experience. Thanks.
