Bottlenose – Smart Way to See What’s Happening Right Now for Any Topic
by AJ on July 26, 2012

Bottlenose is a smart way to see what’s happening right now for any topic. It provides a cool way for the user (you) an all-in-one dashboard for keeping up with all your interests in one place.
Features I really like are the Paper, Scanner and Sonar areas. Off the beaten path, they’re amazing tools to see any kind of topic in a different way.

Since yesterday, I’ve stopped visiting Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and a local newspaper just to check if there’s an update to a topic because now I can do it all in one interface. Cool!
One thing I noticed (and it’s minor), is that you lose the “You” link when you are on “Global Trends” (I know there’s “Dashboard”). Maybe it’s intentional but I think the “Logout” link should be “You” (or my username) with an arrow dropdown (like a quick menu they have inside already) to either go to the “Dashboard”, “Settings”, “Logout”, etc. A logout link in there isn’t good if you ask me. You’re inviting users to go. Keep them in?
Bottlenose comes to me as very useful. Give it a try!
