Then you might be wondering if this is possible to do with Facebook too. Well, some of my friends says it’s hard to export all your data out of Facebook. But I think it’s a matter of knowing where to click and go. So here’s a step-by-step post how:

1) Login to Facebook (https://www.facebook.com)
2) Click Account >> Account Settings (https://www.facebook.com/editaccount.php)
3) Scroll down and find “Download Your Information”
4) Click the “learn more” link (below)

5) Enter your Facebook password
6) You should see something like this (below) >> Download!

I got a mention from @niczak that the Google +1 plugin doesn’t work on iOS so I checked it out. And he was right.

I went to the Google Webmaster’s Google +1 button generator (above) on my iOS device and looks like we’re going to wait until Google supports it.

Tony Hsieh (pronounced “Shay”), CEO of Zappos.com, discusses keys to entrepreneurial success on The CEO TV Show with Robert Reiss in the first of four episodes, starting today.

Hsieh, who sold his first on-line business for $265 million when he was 24, first became interested in Zappos.com, an on-line shoe retailer, as an investor and an advisor.  That quickly changed to him becoming fully involved in developing the business.  And it was not always easy.  Indeed, there was a time when they were on the brink of bankruptcy, forcing everyone to come up with unique ways of solving problems.

“It was a blessing in disguise,” Hsieh explained.  “If we had all the money we wanted, we probably wouldn’t have uncovered the key to our success, what was exceptional customer service.”

Hsieh explains why this was critical and how this – and the importance of corporate culture – was how Zappos.com went from being on the brink of bankruptcy to being a billion dollar business in less than a decade.

What is it?

Google +1 Button Plugin for WordPress is a way to add a +1 button to your post pages to help your site stand out above the rest. The +1 buttons let people who love your content recommend it on Google search.

How does the WordPress option look like?

How does the actual post look like?

It looks like the one below. You can set the option to place it on top right, top left, bottom left or bottom right.

Where does it show? After clicking the button, what happens?

It goes to the clicker’s Google Profile (the visitor who clicked the button). How? Try it out yourself and visit your Google Profile page here: https://profiles.google.com It should show under the +1 link or tab.

So how do I install it?

1) Upload `google-plus-one-button-plugin.php` to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
2) Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
3) Set it up. There should be a new menu link on your WordPress left menu. Select your Google +1 options and hit save.
4) There is no next step. ;-)
